A Happy Halloween Banner
by Lisa Elton
Hello sweet Poppy peeps! Lisa here today sharing a spook-tacular little Happy Halloween banner that I created for our granddaughter! There are so many cute Halloween dies in the shop and I couldn’t decide which one to create a card with. So I threw caution to the wind, cut a bunch and put them all together!
Many of the Poppystamps dies let you cut several items at once. That was the case with the pumpkins, spiders and cats. It made my job quite easy for this project. This cutie little witch came together in a snap too. Once they were all cut, they needed a “vehicle” to make up the banner.
The Scallop Pinpoint Rings were just what I needed! I reversed the way you would typically used them for something a little different. I cut several sizes from white cardstock then ink blended the solid circle in soft blue.
Each circle got it’s own little arrangement of Ghostly Cats, Perky Pumpkins and Cute Spiders.
Sunny Orange and Greenery paper pads from our parent company Memory Box, along with Majestic Hues and Glitzy Glitter paper pads available in the shop, gave me my festive fall palette.
I love the way the Lavish Happy Halloween die looks cut from this black glittery paper. The Ghostly Cats were cut using the same paper then topped with vellum. Spiders aren’t quite as scary when they’re purple and sparkly!
A tiny hole punch was used on opposing sides of the circle with twine threaded through for hanging. I used a small piece of black spider web Washi tape on the back of each circle to hold the twine in place. A labor of love for our Sweet P. I think she’ll enjoy it and I hope you do too!
