Let It Snow!
by Birgit Norton
Are you ready for snow season?? The Nordic Happy Snowman certainly makes it easier for me to welcome in cold weather. This clean and simple card came together in a jiffy! Let’s move on and I’ll show how I made it.
I started by cutting the Nordic Happy Snowman out of white cardstock. Poppystamps thinks of every detail when it comes to designing their dies. The die cuts an extra head piece that you can color and then slip behind the main snowman piece.
This little extra die takes the tedious work out of trying to color and fit those tiny pieces back into place. Look, a perfect little snowman!

I cut the sweater and hat out of two shades of blue and a fun lime green paper from my box of scraps. This allowed me to build two snowmen. I’ll hold on to one for a future project.
For the focal point, I cut a circle using Brilliant Rings and stenciled the design from the Nordic Motif Stencil. I let the colors soften as I got closer to the edge of the circle.
I cut the Let It Snow Moonlight Script out of the same navy blue cardstock. This is looking pretty cute!
For the card front, I cut the Scandinavian Snowflake Plate out of white and placed it over a white A2 size card base and mounted the stenciled circle and snowman to the center.

So much Nordic cuteness here, Birgit! My husband wears just such a hat when shoveling! Love the cover plate snowflakes that brings it all home!
