Peace on Earth
By Lisa Elton

There’s something enchanting about a snow globe. Small things tucked inside a sphere with bits of sparkle and wonder. I’ve tucked a pair of Perfect Poinsettias by Memory Box inside this globe for you today.

The background is a lovely embossed panel with the snowglobe adhered in front of it. I liked the idea of the embossed poinsettias showing through the globe. As if you were seeing them through the water.

The globe was cut using the Simple Rings die. The outer ring from cardstock and the inner “globe” from clear acetate. After coloring and adding the poinsettias to the card, I used a glue pen to add glitter to the petals and various spots inside what was to become the globe. I glued the outer ring in place then used adhesive spray to attach the acetate piece.

The snowglobe base is so pretty with it’s layers! I created this one using woodgrain paper that was shaded with ink to give it an elegant look. The sentiment created with the Christmas Banners set is the perfect fit.

I hope my snow globe brought a bit of magic to your day and that I’ve inspired you to create one of your own!

  1. This is so gorgeous, Lisa. I love snow globes and the magic they evoke. I have one ready to go for Thursday, and I also had the idea of using the woodgrain paper for the base. Your poinsettia background is gorgeous, and the die cuts in the snow globe are beautifully colored and the sparkle you added is a wonderful touch. Simply beautiful.
