Challenge Reminder: Halloween Treat Box
by Candice Crawford

Hello crafters! Are you ready for Halloween? Today’s project share is a Halloween flip top treat box designed with the new Fall dies from Poppystamps. This box can hold several fun size candies and delite any recipient.

To create my project I used the new Witches Shoe die along with the Spider web from the Halloween Assemblage die set and the whimiscal spider from the Whittle Creatures Craft die.  The box can easily be created from one sheet of cardstock for the base of the box and decorated with patterned paper. For my box, I used plain white cardstock that was colored with Distress Oxide Inks.

I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks, for the panels on my box, which I think paired very well with the Witches Shoe die that was cut from purple glitter cardstock.

The treat box comes together rather quickly and can easily be massed produced. You can create several of these boxes for Trick or Treaters, co-workers or use as a favor gift for a Halloween party.

Today, I’d like to  remind you to join our monthly challenge that starts on the first of every month.  The theme for this month is Anything BUT a Card.  OI hope my fliptop treat box is the inspiration you need to play along. Your project can be for any theme or occasion.  Don’t forget to link your design to our challenge to enter you in our monthly giveaway for a $20 gift card to Poppystamps!   I sure hope you find some time to play!

  1. Hi Candice, You have created a fabulous treat box, the colouring behind the gorgeous die-cuts is fabulous and gives the illusion of being ‘backlit’. I love it.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
