Hugs and a Happy Fox
by Kim Singdahlsen

At the beginning of the pandemic, I started sending cards every week to my almost 90-year old mother-in-law who stayed completely isolated in her home.  Although things have loosened up a bit since the beginning, I still send cards every two weeks.  That’s a lot of cards but the interesting thing is, she never says a word about them, unless I send a card using any of the Whittles. Then she texts saying how much she loves my cards. Obviously she is as charmed by the Whittles as I am – so today’s card was created for my next mailing to my MIL.

I started with the Scribble Daisy Heart Frame and added cardstock stripes behind it for the ground and the sky. The lower left scene is the Whittle Happy Fox then I thought he’d pop better with a dash of color so I put one of the Whittle Birds on his tail.  To complete the cheerful scene, I added some Whittle Sunshine and Whittle Clouds in the upper right corner.

I created the sentiment using the Marzipan Alphabet. I love the look of this alphabet with the detail in the middle.

I think this cheerful card with those wonderful happy Whittle faces will be a highlight of her day when she gets it later this week.  I love that our hobby can be so fun to do and also so meaningful to the recipients of our cards!

The Whittles definitely made this card special!
