Merry Little Christmas by Robin Tharaldson

Don't know about you but I can't wait for Winter! After several weeks in the high 90's, a few days at 110+, and wildfires everywhere…I'm done!!! Not sure what it is like to shovel snow but right now I would give it a try…ok, ok, I would last maybe a week with snow! However I have been stuck inside with a remodel and very warm weather so thinking about Winter has put me into the mood to make Christmas cards!! And what better way to make cards than with Poppystaps 2018 Holiday Release!!!

For this card I used the background die from Merry Outline die set, cut it four times, adhered and stacked together. I then sponged a little Brushed Corduroy on the edges for some contrast. I used the Mistletoe and Holly stamp set for my corners. After I stamped them with VersaMark, I then heat embossed and did basic (very) watercoloring! Once done wih watercoloring I flicked fired brick and black soot distress inks, along with gold paint onto my background!

I was actually going to make little banners for the stamped sentiments and add to my panel but changed my mind (no, really!); thank goodness for stamp positioners!!! The following video will show you how this card went together!
Thanks for stopping by!
