Seaside
by Jeanne Jachna

About this time every year I start thinking about heading sea side. I miss the ocean air and walking in the sand. As with most of my crafting I’m inspired by what I see, or things that are on my mind. Mostly my crafting is a sweet escape. So come along with me today – we’re headed down to the harbor!

I used lots of dies to make this fun scene. The Stitched Cloud borders make a layered cloudy sky, and the Ric Rac Stitches become waves. I cut the waves in several shades of blue layering each border one over the other.

The Birds In Flight (Seagulls) are looking for a catch and a big fish (Lovely Koi) is ready to jump!

Sometimes I can’t find just the right die so a few pieces are cut by hand. Can you guess which ones they are?

Did you guess the beams of light from the lighthouse? That’s right! And the second is the cropping of land that the lighthouse is perched upon!

Isn’t it wonderful the places your imagination will take you? I hope you find some time for a sweet escape today!
