Blog Blitz: Hello
by Nancy Penir

Well Hello, and welcome back to Poppy’s Spring Blog Blitz! I’m featuring a new die called, ‘Rotary Phone’. Super cute, isn’t it?

Lots of Poppy on this colorful spring card, so let’s get right to the ‘how’s’.

I love the look of the Double Stitch Frames, and used the smallest square frame for the die cut phones. It’s a perfect fit. The largest square frame is also a perfect fit for 4 small frames!

The little rotary phone is an iconic image for talking!

The die cut ‘hello’ was sponge inked. Wasn’t quite sure which one to use until the card was done. It’s OK, always like having a few handy for other cards!

Kinda has an Andy Warhol feel, with the bright colored squares, doesn’t it?

Hope you found some inspiration today. Be sure to check back each day of the Blitz for more fun!

  5. This card made me smile for two reasons. The first being that my father spent his entire career working for “Ma Bell” (back when it was a monopoly – the only game in town). Secondly, the first time my granddaughter saw a phone such as this (though not a rotary dial, rather push putton) was in a little hotel, yet she didn’t believe it was an “actual” phone. She thought it was a large toy left on the bedside table! Cute card and yes, very reminiscent of Andy Warhol style.
