Make Today Amazing
by Jeanne Jachna

I hope you're having a great day!  I don't know about you but I'm starting to daydream about butterflies and sunny skies! I'm still getting out with the dog, but I miss hearing the birds in the morning and walking in my garden.  Days like these I turn to crafting to escape to my own beautiful world where I can have all the flowers and butterflies I like!

This card looks like it has lots of layers but it was really quite simple to make.  I started with a background of baby blue gingham from Lawn Fawn called Gotta Have Gingham.  I topped that with a blue Double Stitched Scallop Rectangle Frame die cut, and a white Double Stitched Rectangle Frame set inside it.   The stamped sentiment from the Flower Patch clear stamp set is stamped on the gingham paper that shows through the die cut frames.
2Next for embellishing! I cut the Country Rose Corner from Gold and then adhered it over blue card stock.  I trimmed carefully around the edges for a clean outline.  A sprinkle of gold Fluttering Butterflies cut from glitter paper adds more sparkle and shine!

I hope you find time to make something beautiful today!

  3. Hi Jeanne, What a beautiful, fresh-looking card, the gingham paper is so pretty and my favourite scalloped rectangle die-cuts, and finished off beautifully with the glittery butterflies and the very pretty country rose. The pastel colours are so beautiful.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
