Sewing in the Snow
by Jennifer Svare

Hello!  This card was “sew” much fun to make!  The unique background sprang from mixing the Sew Fond of You clear stamp set and die with the Stitched Alpine Snowflake set. I wanted a cheerful, bright wintery card that matched the sewing theme. How about an embroidery floss background that looks like colorful scribbles in the snow?

Laying the strings where they landed on top of double-sided adhesive and then adding Flower Soft snow to fill in the gaps was the perfect solution. The texture is sturdy and has a very unique feel and look to it. It sparkles just like snow. I loved how this turned out, and it was not only easy and fast, but FUN!

A ric-rac string was cut from the Ric Rac Stitches set, and the largest snowflake from the Stitched Alpine Snowflakes set was placed as the base to a button with a tulle bow.
