Big Halo Hello
by Nancy Penir

Hello, and hope all the moms had a Happy Mother’s Day!

It’s Blog Blitz time at Poppy Stamps!

And I’m happy to be joining the Poppy Design team with my very first post.

Meet a new word die called, Big Halo Hello.

There’s so much you can do with a large word die.

Dave did a beautiful watercolor background to showcase his card using this die.

Take a look at another way to make your word dies pop.

The large word die, ‘Hello’, comes in 2 pieces, wired together, which I snipped apart.

The larger, fatter die, I die cut on an angle, on the front of my card, giving me a window.

After rainbow inking the larger die cut, I replaced it in the window cutout, gluing it in place.

The smaller, skinny hello, I cut several times, all from white card stock, gluing them on the front

of the card, and snipping off the edges. Really gives it a dramatic embossed look, don’t you think?

You  can see what the inside of the card looks like. Still plenty of room for your message.

Here’s a look at another card using this method, in cooler rainbow colors!

Would you like to win this new Big Halo Hello?

You can win a die featured each day during the blitz, from May 10 – May 21

Just leave a comment on each post and you’ll be entered to win.

Winners announced on the 24th. Be sure to check back to see if you’ve won!
