Background Dies, Border Die, Thank You Card

Hello crafters! Sue here with a heartfelt thank you card.

For the background I took a piece of card stock and inked it up with Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Picked Raspberry. I ran that through my die cut machine with the Heart Pattern Plate and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls. This die is one of my faves from the new release. The pretty pattern adds subtle texture for backgrounds.

I white embossed the row of hearts from the Grateful Heart stamp set onto water colour paper, die cut it and painted the hearts with Twinkling H2O's in gold. Here's a pic showing the lovely metallic shine of the gold.

I decided I wanted to add a mess of white pearl thread behind the hearts. Boy, was that a chore to do! I couldn't seem to control the mess in a somewhat neat way but went with what I had.

The sentiment is the Thank You Channel and was die cut from water colour card stock that I painted with Twinkling H2O's in pink.

The card was finished with the addition of a few sequins.

    It’s wonderful that the die touches the embossed stamped image. That embossing really sets up the golden hearts. Thanks for your hearty inspiration.
