Christmas tree
by Ilona Zbieg

Welcome in my second inspiration today.

Every designer nightmare – make Christmas cards in July few days before summer holidays. I was expecting that it will be easy … but result is actually really nice.

I decided to make card with use of 1620 We Wish You a Merry Christmas craft die.  White card background (green) is again my favourite water paint. It gives you a possibility to avoid plain green color. The star and ball is obviously cut out from the same die. And to add some more Christmas feeling to it I added a white twine with  that nice looking crystal.

Cards are technically more less the same – the only difference is that brown one have snow made with white paint splahes and on white one I used texture paste, glitter and stencils.

We will be giving a prize on every post from July 6-18.
One comment from each of the posts during the blog blitz will be selected by random number generator to receive the prize for the day.
You have until July 21 to leave a comment on the posts you'd like to enter. You must leave a separate comment on each of the posts that you want to enter to be considered to win. Check in often because there will be 2 posts per day during the blitz!
Winners will be announced on July 25.

Good Luck

See you next time!

Ilona

  3. What a fabulous die for a card you could make in larger quantities. I really like the two backgrounds you used. The splattering of white ink or paint on a kraft paper is a look I’m really taking a shine to.
The finishing touch of white twine and crystal add so much without stealing the thunder of the fabulous die image.
Thanks for sharing, and I hope you have wonderful weather for your summer vacation.

  8. Two pretty versions of this card! I love the die! Looks like one that could be used very simply, or you could dress it up with extras for a more detailed card. Very versatile!

  9. Beautiful cards, I especially like the white and green. How did you do the snowflakes on it? Is it embossed? This die has so many possibilities, the words could be used alone, not in the tree shape. I also like that it says We, and not I. Lots of fun creative play with the star and the ornament. I like the diecut panel on the front of the card also.
