Blog Blitz: Stitched Poinsettia Trio
by Yoonsun Hur

Hello crafty friends, welcome to another blog blitz day! Today I'm showcasing the Stitched Poinsettia Trio die along with other new winter holiday products.
2To create this card, I laid the Memory Box Snowflakes stencil on an A2 sized watercolor paper panel, inked it with Tumbled Glass Distress ink using mini ink blending tool, then lightly watercolored the inked background with the same Tumbled Glass Distress ink using a wet flat brush. Next, I die cut poinsettias from a separate watercolor paper using the Stitched Poinsettia Trio die, coloured them with Festive Berries & Fired Brick Distress inks, stacked three of them together using double-sided tape. I also prepared small sized deers and sentiment die cuts to decorate around the poinsettia using the Prancing Deer and Be Merry Flourish dies. I mounted all elements as shown to an A2 sized white card base using dimensional foam tape.

  5. What amazing depth your card has, Yoonsun. Your watercolor background is great, with the stenciling done in the same color. It also looks like you spritzed it with something white and dimensional?
That large flower is a knock-out, and I had to look for a long time before I figured out you glued the “merry” to the very middle. I love how the tail of the “Be” passes behind some of the poinsettia pedals. Those deer are the icing on the cake (I just love Dave’s deer), and an item I would not have used this way, but I will now.
Thank you for sharing this fabulous creation. I learn so much with each of your posts.
