I love Thanksgiving

I LOVE Thanksgiving.  I love the sounds of family and the smells of love cooking in the oven.  For me, it's not just a day, it's a season and it ushers in my favorite holidays.  The season of Autumn brings the coolness hidden in the sunny days and the chill in the evening as the moon glows in the darkened sky.  And I feel like a child when I shuffle through the colorful fallen leaves.

This card will go to a friend, and though I won't be with her on Thanksgiving, she will know she is thought of.

I had fun creating the paper I used for my leaves.  Though it was fun it was also a challenge to get onto paper what I was seeing in my head.  I really like the colors On these small leaves:

Lots of alcohol ink and rubbing alcohol.  And plenty of patience.  But in the end, I really like these leaves.  And I love this Maple Leaf Border and when the leaves felll from it, I got excited all over again.  I'll be showing another card later in the month.  I used the same technique, though you may hear a bit of whining about how it came together.  The moral of the story, even if you think your technique failed….keep at it, cause in the end…I love it!

I left quite a bit of room for a note.  Which is important to let people know you are thankful that they are in your life.

Well, I'm thankful that you stopped by today.  If you leave a comment, I'll make sure to stop by your blog to see what you are working on.  Until next time,

Hugs from me to you.
