Feather & Foliage

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you’re enjoying your Sunday, and I’m so glad you stopped by to see my post today.  I made a collage look card with a stencil background.

Using painters tape I adhered a stencil to a sheet of pink card stock.  The tape removes easy and holds the stencil in place.  Using a spatula I spread Golden Artist Colors Light Molding Paste evenly over the stencil.  I immediately removed the stencil and set the card stock aside to dry while I rinsed the stencil with soap and water.    Don’t let the paste dry on the stencil or you will have a hard time removing it and might damage your stencil.   When the paste is dry you will have a raised texture.  I like that it’s a different color too so the pattern really stands out.

I topped that pretty background with different color cardstock die cuts and some home made enamel dots.    I made the dots by melting Perler beads in the oven – you can find lots of tutorials on line – they are super easy to make and so inexpensive.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

  3. Aren’t you the smartest person around? Love the stenciled design and the collage feel to your card…the feather is a a really good die to use for a collage card…it can go on just about anything! You have given me big ideas with that one!

  4. I love this card, Jeanne! You always choose the perfect color combinations. I’ve watched a number of videos about melting perler beads, and they are all made in a toaster oven, which I don’t have. Do you know if you can melt them in a regular kitchen oven?
