Tiny Nordic Mice Tags | By Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am thrilled to be back up on the new blog with this sweet card featuring products from the new Nordic Winter Magic release. The Nordic Tiny Mouse set is so adorable – I couldn’t resist making a card with all three versions of their little sweaters.
I started my card by choosing my background – a plaid pattern from one of my favorite Memory Box paper pads – Anemone Plaid. I then chose the colors for everything else based on that plaid. I found the two lavender tag colors in an older Memory Box paper pad called Stormy Blue Collection. The tags are from the new Scalloped Pinpoint Tags. This is the third largest tag in the set (set of four), and I first cut it with white card stock. This die cuts both the scalloped frame and the inside tag piece. I then cut the two shades of lavender and set aside the scallop frames. Because these are separate pieces, I trimmed down a white piece of cardstock that was slightly smaller than the scallop frame but bigger than the inner tag. Then I glued both the frame and the tag onto that “backer” piece.

There are two different dies in the tag set that cut an eyelet or reinforcement piece for the hole. I cut those out of both lavenders and put the opposite color on the tags. I then wound some silver thread around the hole and secured it to the back. I didn’t want a bunch of loose thread all over the card, so I went with this clean look. I glued the two lighter tags to the card base and then popped the middle tag up on foam tape. Next, I assembled the letters from the Nordic Layered Joy set, using white and blue card stock. The blue is Fresh Aqua card stock. I also assembled the mice using the same Fresh Aqua color for the top of the sweaters and a darker blue from the Lagoon Cardstock Pack from Memory Box. For the mice ears, I masked off the white outer rim and ink blended Milled Lavender Distress Ink to color the inner part.

To finish the card, I added some clear Fairy Jewels from Memory Box. I really love how this turned out, and I hope it brings a smile to your face today. Thanks so much for joining us on the blog!
