A Charming Happy Birthday

Hello there Poppy peeps! Are you enjoying all of the wonderful products from our recent release? I’ve paired our new Nordic Bloom Stencil with a formerly released beauty to create this charming birthday card.
As you can see, this is a single stencil. It would be perfect for mixed media products. I chose to use inks and little stencil brushes to turn it into this colorful mix. It has a folk art feel, don’t you think? With patience and a steady hand you can do it too!
I turned the panel horizontally, then added it to the green card base. This created the charming frame for my Nordic Majestic Bloom.
I layered the bloom using vellum, colored cardstock and a snippet of plaid paper. The flower’s calyx and little bird were cut from gold mirrored cardstock.
My finishing touch was a happy birthday sentiment. I think this design would also work for get well, thank you or even sympathy cards. I hope I’ve inspired you to create one of your own. Thanks so much for stopping by, we love it when you do!

I love the stencil on either end of the card with that flower in the middle, showing off its beauty, Lisa. And that little bird is a great finishing touch.
