Colorful Happy Trees
by Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be back on the blog today sharing more cuteness from the brand new Nordic Wonderland Collection! Although I am looking forward to playing with all of the new products, I just had to use the Nordic Treeline again. When I made my last card with this die, I got the idea for this clean and simple card in my head. So, here we are!

I started this card with a white top folding A2 card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Banners set with black pigment ink directly onto the card base. I then cut the Nordic Treeline die twice from white card stock. I cut the trees from the base so that they were all individual little trees, and then I colored each of them with a different color of Distress Ink. I used the following colors: Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio, Salvaged Patina, Salty Ocean, and Shaded Lilac. I came up with the layout for the trees and then glued them directly to the card base, with some overlapping the others. I did add a second layer to several of the trees that are on top of others.

I then cut the Nordic Happy Snowman from white card stock and colored the pieces with some of the same Distress Ink colors as the trees. I assembled him with liquid glue and adhered him to the card base. Finally, I added some fairy drops around the design.

I know this is a very clean and simple design, which is not always something that I do, but I love how it turned out. Maybe it is not so much clean and simple as it is cute and simple! Those little happy faces on those trees are just the best. I hope this card brings a smile to your face. Thanks for joining us today!

Hi Allison, I love this card, the trees are ‘smiling’ and look so happy, and the snowman is such a happy chappie too, I love it.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
