Alcohol Inks, Birthday, Clean And Simple, Shaker

Welcome to another day of our spring Blog Blitz! There's been lots of inspirational projects using the fabulous new products from Poppystamps!

Today I have a simple shaker card using the new Berry Square Frame.

I started by creating a panel using alcohol inks in blues and aquas on Yupo paper. I cut a piece from this panel to be the background of my shaker square.

The Berry Square Frame was cut from white card stock and also cut from my white card front because I'm making an inlaid shaker. The frame will sit in the square die cut.

I took the Garden Leaves and Berries and die cut the berries a bunch of times from the same white card stock and adhered them to the front panel. Then I assembled the shaker part and attached the panel to a white card base.

For the sentiment I die cut the Doodle Happy Birthday 4 times from black card stock to give it height so it can pop from the textured background.

  40. Hi Sue, Wow !! I absolutely love your background on the Yupo paper, it is so ‘atmospheric’ and ‘magical’. I still haven’t tried the alcohol ink technique yet, but I really must.
    The berry frame die set is fabulous, and I love how you have used the berry spray all over the card front, and the ‘shaker’ is gorgeous. Shaker cards are my favourite.
