Blog Blitz Alcohol Inked Greenhouse
by Nancy Penir

Hi everyone! Are you ready for a Spring Blog Blitz? Lots of new stamps and dies, and plenty of fun techniques from the designers.

Today I have the Greenhouse Potted Plants Sidekick Frame & Stencil to show you. And I've done a card with all alcohol inks die cuts.

Alcohol Inks are a fantastic way to add pizzaz to your project. They react with Yupo paper, a shiny surfaced paper, and blending solution to get a wildly colorful, rather agate like pattern, fun result. Here's one way to play with them. First I squirted my blending solution on my yupo paper. Notice it gets messy so protect your surface. Gloves are optional.

Next up I added my colors. No rhyme or reason, for this technique just go for it.

I then sandwiched a clean piece of yupo paper over my saturated sheet, in a schmooched way, pressing without moving either sheet. The result is a magical blend of wild color!

Ok, friends, this was way too much fun! As you can see, I played with all color combos. And here's what I did with them:

A birthday card for someone who loves potted and potting plants! Now there's a stencil that is included with this die. I can't wait to use it too.

This fabulous die and stencil set is the giveaway to one lucky person. Don't forget to leave a comment today and on each of the blog blitz days for a chance to win. Best of luck to you, and thanks for sticking with me through my little tutorial on alcohol inking. By the way, there are fabulous you tube videos to entice you to trying these inks.

The new release is in the store, and the blog blitz runs from Mar. 2nd – the 14th. You have until the 17th to comment. The winners will be announced on the 19th. AND here's a 2nd way for you and a friend you choose to win… Visit us on Instagram, follow us, like the post you want to win, leave a comment and tag a friend. It's that easy!

Other dies I've included are listed below. Have a great week, and hope you enjoy the blitz!
