Holiday Happenings Blog Blitz Begins
by Jeanne Jachna

It’s a great day for a visit!  Our Holiday Happenings Blog Blitz begins today!  That means the design team will be sharing peeks at the latest release and offering a chance for you to win a prize on every blog blitz post!  You can see the entire Holiday Happenings Release here

2I started by creating a distress ink panel in Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Spiced Marmalade.  I splattered the panel with water, watered down ink and white ink.  I inked up Whittle Maple and Oak Leaves with distress ink in and arranged them on a piece of plastic the size of my card base.   This makes it easy to pick up my layout while I work on the background.

I cut the inked panel so it would fit behind the largest Double Stitch Scalloped Rectangle Frame and adhered it to my card base.   Alternately you could ink up the negative inside cut piece from the frame.

2I attached the Doodle Thank You sentiment and arranged the leaves along the left margin of the card.

I used two colors of distress ink for each leaf to add some depth and shadow.  I love how the stitched leaves match the stitched scalloped frame!

I inked up the details on the Whittle Squirrel with a cotton swab that I dabbed on a distress ink pad.

And now the part you’ve been waiting for.. the prize on this post is the Whittle Oak Leaf die.

Let me fill you in on all the details ok?

The blog blitz runs from October 11-21. We’ll be giving away a prize on every blog blitz post during this time. To enter to win you need to leave a comment on ONLY the posts that you wish to enter.
