Blog Blitz Gift Tag with Matching Shaker Card

Hello!  This new Poppystamps release has me spinning with so many ideas!  For today's post, I made a birthday card with a matching gift tag.  

The new stacking border dies are amazing.  They work well independently, but also layer for more effects!  They also come in a great variety from hearts, stars, hexagon, and circles.  I chose the stars with bright-ish pink and silver cardstock. 

The border dies are 5.5" long, which is great for standard cards as shown but I also thought it would be fun just as a stand-alone tag design.  I love the look of these and can also imagine red, white, and blue for Fourth of July, different pastel colors for baby shower gifts and cards, even Christmas colors for holidays!  These are amazingly versatile.  

The new frame dies that go over top of the base tag dies make it so easy to get that professional, polished look. (Foiled cardstock looks amazing with these dies!) I love the double stitching, too. 

The Musical Happy Birthday die adds a special touch of personality to the card sentiment.

I chose the stars not only because they are great with birthdays, but because they also match the Fine Flamingo so well!  I used the flamingo with a few of the star cuts for the inside of the card.  A great, festive surprise that brings the whole look together.
