Happy 4th
by Nancy Penir

A big Happy 4th of July to all Poppy’s American friends!

We celebrate the 4th with a traditional block party, including lots of bar-b-que, and friends.

Nancy here, and I’m sharing a card made with a new Poppy Stamps die called, Floribunda Collage.

They’re flower images, but I love getting mileage from all my dies, and I know you do too!

1st, I made a stencil with the Floribunda die, cutting the image twice to cover the card front.

Then, sponge inked the stencil with Fired Brick and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks.

Kinda looks like fireworks!

Next, using Stitched Tunnel Tags, cut out the center, and center of the center.

Be sure to use the 2nd largest tag size, and the 4th largest to cut the stenciled card.

See how they’re lined up on the magnetic sheet by size?

Perfect for the next step.

You’re going to die cut the largest tag from blue card stock, and the 3rd largest die from

deep red card stock. For added dimension cut each tag 3 times, stacking and gluing together.

The ‘Happy’ and the ‘th’ are letters cut from Happy Birthday Background, first in white, then in dark blue.

I made the 4, first drawing what I wanted, applied red glitter, and when that was dry, added Glossy Accents.

Finished it off with sequins and some twine at the top. Looks like a firecracker, doesn’t it?

Hope you enjoyed a look at one way to get more use from your dies,

and hope your day (and night) is full of fun!
