Happy Hearts
by Sue McRae

Welcome everyone! Sue here with a heart themed thank you card.

Do you see all the pretty swirly colours on the background? Well, that was done using alcohol inks on glossy paper. I attached this piece to a white card base.

From white linen card stock I die cut the Happy Hearts Channel and then used the Eyelet Stitches to add a decorative edge along the top and bottom.

I adhered the white panel onto the inky background and added a thin strip of black card stock along the top, two strips of the alcohol inked piece close to the Eyelet Stitches and a glittery strip to anchor the sentiment.

To finish off I added the Spectacular Thank You sentiment and a couple of glittered hearts.

Thanks for visiting and hope you have a crafty day!

  1. Morning Sue, I love, love, love, your alcohol ink background, the colours ‘marry’ beautifully. The channel heart die-cut looks stunning atop the background edged with the eyelet stitches, and finished off with the gorgeous font of the ‘thank you’ die – beautiful !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  2. Swoon! Everything about this card is extraordinary, Sue. The way you use the thin horizontals in the – background colors, black (need to remember that little but fantastic element), glitter, and the white eyelet border. The background is so beautiful it must have taken courage to cover any of it up.
Thanks Sue for sharing this “simple” but stunning card!
