Nordic Crown Flower
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Poppystamps Friends and Family!
Welcome to 2024, a brand New Year, and a brand new set of darling Poppystamps dies to enjoy. I am kicking off my crafty year with one of my new favorites, Nordic Crown Flower. Take a look!

I started with a rich black card base with a red pinpoint frame. The background black looks beautiful on the card, but these very tight photos show all of the imperfections on this card stock. Go ahead and use the black anyway, because it looks beautiful against the bright pop of color on the Nordic Crown Flower.

I cut the flower in bright colors, red, yellow, and bright magenta. I cut the stem and tiny stitched leaves in light green, dark green, and teal green, and assembled it all together. It’s easy to create detailed, layered designs with the Nordic collection.

This design was inspired by the beautiful Polish folk art designs of bright, symmetrical flowers and leaves against a deep black background, and it turned out great! I finished the card with a few sparkly Christmas Fairy Crystals.
It’s a New Year, and I’m ready for beautiful new designs and patterns for 2024. How about you? We can’t wait to see what you’ll create.
Thanks for joining us today!

Hi Michele, I love the effect of this card, it is very ‘folk art’ and I love it.
