Simple Bird House Pop Up Easel
by Jeanne Jachna

Hi friends!  I hope you’re having a great day!  It’s December so let the countdown to Christmas begin!  I know you’re making seasons bright with all your creations this month!

I’m smitten with a fussy card but they’re not always so simple to make.  I am always in awe and then find the directions too complicated for me to reproduce.  I love  the easel dies at Poppystamps.. they make a fussy looking card super easy to make with all the dies you need to make something extraordinary.

I mean, does it get easier than this?  You cut out all the pieces and then assemble them, and BAM! You have a gorgeous fancy fold easel card that looks fussy but isn’t.

Even the inside panel is separate so you can stamp a sentiment or leave it blank for a personalized note.  This sentiment is from the Poppystamps Christmas Time stamp set.   I love the script font and heartfelt message.

I cut the snowy drifts from glitter paper.  Did you know that Memory Box has 6″ pads of glitter paper?   I added some light distress inking on the birdhouse front panel to bring out the lines on the paneling.  A few half pearls make shiny red berries added to the evergreen boughs.  I used a sharpie to color the  face of the cardinal and a dot of Nuvo drops form an eye.

Easy peasy right?   Crafting doesn’t need to be complicated.. it only needs to be FUN!  Hugs!

  1. Hi Jeanne, This easel card really does look like a complicated card, but your tutorial shows that, with these dies, it can be so easy, and it really looks so beautiful, I adore this birdhouse die set.
Take care, stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
