Gel Press Christmas cards
by Marybeth Lopez

Hi there! Yes , the cards are made with Poppystamps stencils but in a new way. I had a few minutes to check out Jennifer McGuire blog and saw a new technique using a gel pad . I was able to get one quick from Amazon. So I gave it a try with stencils.

I placed the gel pad on my MISTI then inked up the gel pad just using the ink pad, then place the stencil on top. I then cut a panel and placed that on top to the stencil, and pressed over the back of the panel. The stencil below is from Poppystamps called Bright Blossom ( looks a bit like a poinsettia to me)

When I took the stencil off this is what I got( above) It was kinda fun and a new way to use stencils for me.

The stencil above is is called : Leafy Rows , I did this one the same way.

I was pleased with the way they both turned out and simple and easy to mail , especially this time of year.

I added glitter to both cards for a bit of shimmer , I always love shimmer or glitter for Christmas ( or any card 🙂
Take care and God bless.

Hi Marybeth, I love this technique and I love your two cards and you have used my favourite wrapped stitch rectangles die set too. I have used a gel press but not like this technique, thank you, I will be giving it a try.
Take care, stay safe, stay well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
