Nutty As A Squirrel

Hello Everyone!
We are so happy you could join us today! Today I am sharing a fresh and fun Fall card that features the adorable Busy Squirrel Trio! The very first time I saw these squirrels, I knew I wanted to create a card where that squirrel races up the tree! Just by using a bright autumn color palette, I was able to transform the Holly Vine and Sidekick Frame and Stencil from a holiday die to a Fall die. Never be afraid to really experiment with how many ways you can use a die, along with how you can use color to create a whole new look!
I cut the Holly Vine Sidekick Frame into a few different colors, because I wasn’t sure just how I would arrange the color palette. I like the blue sky behind the white Birch Stitched Frame, but then I played around with a few different background colors before finally selecting white. I like the way the white really shows off the warm fall colors, and brightens the look of the card. I also changed my mind on the color of the squirrels too! They really stand out on the finished card!
Once all the pieces were glued in place, I added a few leaves from the Stitched Oak Trio, and used a tiny hole paper punch to make tiny red berries. Now my nutty squirrels have their very own fall playground!

The squirrel who is flat looks so real. We have a lot of squirrels in our neighborhood, and this is how I see them 1/2 the time. Nice
