Blog Blitz Believe in Miracles
by Nancy Penir

Hi and welcome to more of the new and just released, Poppystamps Dies and Clear Stamps! Today I’m showcasing Pinecone Branch Collage, a  positive/negative die.

Pinecone Branch Collage gives you the die cut branch, and the negatively cut petals of the pinecones, which allows you to fill in the die cut holes with colored card stock, or allow the color from beneath to peek through.

Here’s how I made this card.

First centered and cut the die from white card stock. Notice I sponge inked a bit to give it a ‘glow’.

Next I sponge inked an A2 sized card front, mostly on the edges, and die cut a window using Poppystamps, Pointed Circle Frames (2nd largest). Love this die! It gives you 3 pieces which allows the use of all or one piece. I used all 3 pieces for this card. Before cutting the circle, I mixed Perfect Pearls and water and spritzed the entire card and let it dry. I also cut the circle 3 more times, so I could pop up the rim on the window.

From the circle, I cut the word ‘believe’ from Poppy’s Believe Loose Script die.

The rest of the sentiment was stamped on the front using Poppy’s Do You Believe Clear Stamps.

Here’s a photo closeup of the sheen on all the pieces. Also you can see the piecing on the pinecones, and just a bit of distress glitter on the branch and petals.

The inside of the card features stenciling done with 2 more newly released dies, Double Pinecone Collage, and Wispy Pine Needle Corner, and more of the sentiments from Do You Believe. I hope to finish the insides of my holiday cards as they’re completed. Sure helps during the busy holidays to have them done and ready to go!

Don’t forget, it’s a Blog Blitz. Leave a comment for a chance to win this beautiful holiday die!
