Christmas Swag

Have you been enjoying the fabulous projects so far on the Holiday Blog Blitz? I'm adding my project to this holiday extravaganza with a card featuring two of the new release dies.  Pine Boughs and Fancy Merry Christmas.

When I saw the Pine Boughs Dies I immediately thought of making a Christmas swag on my card front, kind of like the one I hang on my front door.

I die cut a bunch of pine boughs in two different shades of green and used a sponge dauber to apply Versamark  ink to parts of the needles.  I then added gold embossing powder and zapped it with the heat gun.

I layered the embossed boughs with plain ones and added a red bow with long tails.  Keeping with the traditional green and red theme, I added a red sentiment and layered this onto a red card base. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I splattered my white card stock with gold paint.

Would you like a chance to win the Pine Boughs dies?  Just leave me a comment and you'll be entered into the draw.

Make sure to stop by every day for some more holiday inspiration and a chance to win another prize!
