Northwest Landscape
Living in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by evergreen and mountains, I'm afforded some gorgeous views. I wanted to create a scene illustrating the landscape, specifically of those times when there's snow at the top of the hills that's not yet reached the lower elevations.

I cut three panels with the Fremont Pine die in three colors to depict the different elevations. I then played around with the pieces, adjusting them horizontally, until I had a staggered landscape. I masked the bird from the sentiment stamp, which I heat embossed on the bottom panel.
