Very Superstitious
Very superstitious, writings on the wall. Very superstitious, ladder's 'bout to fall.
I put on some old Stevie Wonder music the other day to get me in a spooky groove for this little bird in bright Halloween colors. I wanted to make a Halloween card that featured something a little bit different than pumpkins and ghosts, so I thought about superstitions, spells, and a little black magic. I decided on a color palette: orange, white, purple and green, then die cut a bunch of different Poppystamps shapes and started to lay them out in different combinations. Sometimes you just have to let the shapes speak you to make the magic happen!
I used the Peaceful Bird perched atop a pop dot sitting inside the Winterflake Frame. I cut the Superstar Border in green for the bottom edge, then cut it again in white, orange and purple for the circle and star shaped inserts in the border and at the top. I cut Birthday Candles in orange, whte and purple and placed them just inside the circles of the border so they look like candleholders. Then I cut two Winterflake Corners in green and used just the part with the tiny bubbles on a string. I cut them again in orange, white and purple for the circle inserts. I topped off this magical little bird with emerald and topaz bling, and a few Memeory Box pearls in the corner and the spell was cast! Have a magical Hallowen!
Live your life in color!
