With Sympathy
by Pam Simpson

Hello Everyone, sharing a Sympathy Card today, I have used a mix of New Poppystamp dies and old.. “Double Scallop Oval & Border” from our New Summer 2019 Collection.

White card coloured with distress Ink..Oxide Shabby Lilac.

To Create my frame, I have used Poppystamp dies..Double Scallop cut 2.. one I have reduced the perssure on die cutting, to leave the detail in the die, this I coloured with Oxide Shabby Lilac Ink..Pointed Rectangle frames, use the largest size….I then adhered the two frames gather, you get a delicate show through of Lilac.

My card… 5″x 6.1/4″ ready to decorate ..

Decorated using ..Dandelion Stems..Stitched Fluttering Butterflies..”With Sympathy” from Peony Stems & Blossoms stamp set. white ribbon bow &  gems.

  1. A very sweet and delicate look for this card, just perfect to match the occasion of the sentiment! Thanks for sharing the tip about the pressure of the machine to leave the details in the die and the framing! The double scallop oval frame is a delight. Love the dandelion and the butterflies too!

  2. This is really stunning and dainty pretty. And of course, I love all the elements you used, old and new.

  3. I actually like to make Sympathy cards because they are the cards that mean the most. The person is really hurting, but knowing that someone else cares enough to take the time and effort to make a card that is just right…it means a lot.

  4. Hi Pam, A truly gorgeous card, I’m especially loving how you have used the frames, they are stunning.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
