Blog Blitz! Holiday Happenings
by Nancy Penir

Hi Poppy Peeps! Welcome to the 'Holiday Happenings' 2018 Blog Blitz! Lots of new dies, and some stamps and matching dies too! I'm showing you a new die called Deco Cecil Frame, and I've made a set of tags with it, another new die called Forest Stag.

The frame  is the perfect size for a tag, and I've used the 2nd largest Pinpoint Main Street Tags to create 10 holiday tags and a matching box. Will it be a gift? Maybe… but I have to say, I fell in love with how sharp the frame looks on a tag!

I die cut all my pieces first so I could assemble them easily. The frame itself was cut twice for each tag, once in a gold glitter cardstock and again in pale blue shimmer cardstock.

You can see how I first glued down the outside of the frame, then the shimmer blue inside, which allows for perfect fit, kinda like a puzzle.

The stag die was cut with red glitter cardstock. I backed it with another die cut from red cardstock, which gave it more body.

I couldn't resist decorating the top of the tag with tinsel, a paper rose and some gold garden sprigs, an oldie from Poppystamps, no longer available, but maybe you have it?

I had the reverse die cuts already done, so I cut 5 more tags, out of black this time, and added a white glitter stag.

10 tags, with a matching box.

Here's how I made the simple matching box:

2 strips, cutting sizes listed, scored and glued, crosswise. This simple box holds 10 to 12 tags, and can be decorated any way you like.

White on one side, black tag on the other.

This versatile frame die can be yours. Just leave a comment on my blog. I'd love to know what you think of it!

Comment every day during the blitz for a chance to win that day's featured die. The blitz runs from the 11th through the 21st, and the last day to comment is the 23rd. Winners announced on the 24th. Good luck!

Enjoy your day!
