City Sidewalks
by Michele K. Henderson

Hello Everyone!

One of the things I love about Christmas is how we celebrate it all over the world, from small country towns to the big city metropolis! I lived in a big city for many years, and have always loved the busy city streets during the holidays. I used a few of my favorite Poppystamps to create this city scene.

This card uses only three dies, Wintergreen Border, Downtown Urban Landscape, and Crystal Snowflake Corner Frame. To create a pretty scene like this, you have to think in terms of layers. Start with the base card, then add the bottom layer of buildings first, stacking layers until the Wintergreen Border layers are placed on the top. Have fun experimenting with the paper, manipulating leaves and vines until they lay just the way you want. It's amazing how versatile a border die can be once you start playing with edges and overlaps. Create your own city scene!

Enjoy your holidays wherever you are, and wherever your heart lies! From our family to yours, Happy Holidays!

Thank you so much for joining us today!

  1. Your card has me wanting to move to the big city, Michele. I love your color choices, and how your snowflake corner sweeps outside the frame (all the better for catching all those flakes). Thanks for sharing this beauty this busy time of year. Happy Holidays!
