Sept. Blog Blitz: Merry Christmas
by Jinny Newlin

Afternoon, y'all!  It's Jinny here; and I've got a card to share, for day one of our September Blog Blitz, that boasts a number of new goodies and is guaranteed to cool down the sticky, summer temps we've been having in my neck of the woods.  Enjoy!

I started this card by smudging, from left to right, Spun Sugar, Dusty Concord, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks, through the Winter Scattered Flakes stencil, onto a piece of white cardstock.  I then framed it with Elegant Eggplant cardstock and used that same color to die-cut this gorgeous Snowflake Channel.  The channel itself was backed with a strip of clear paper and anchored, to the prepped piece, with silver-threaded, straight, machine stitches, framing the entire stenciled piece as well.  Before sealing off the top edge of the channel with stitching, I stuffed it with a happy mix of sequins and seed beads.

It was then topped with our new Mitten String, die cut from silver, glitter cardstock and dressed up with a pink button, laced with Caribbean twine, tied in a bow, as well as stamped, in Jet Black ink, on a watercolor paper die cut and watercolored, holly leaves.

The "MERRY CHRISTMAS" sentiment was stamped, in Jet Black ink, across the top edge of the channel, just to the left of the mittens; and a random mix of stamped, in Jet Black ink, snowflakes complete the look.

Be sure to check out all the Design Team's fabulous creations, showcasing goodies from the September Release, right here on the Poppystamps blog, every day through Tuesday, October 3, 2016.  And don't forget to leave lots of love as you visit, because a new, September Release product is being randomly given away on EACH AND EVERY Poppystamps' blog post.  You have until Friday, October 7, 2016, at 12 am EST, to do so.  Winners will be announced, on the Poppystamps blog, the following Monday, October 10, 2016.  I've got this playful, little, Mitten String die, that you see in action above, to giveaway this afternoon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Be blessed, Poppystamps friends!
