Blog Blitz: Christmas Otter
by JJ Bolton

Hi everyone!  Today, I have another Blog Blitz card using the new Merry Christmas Script word die!   I can't resist a good word die, and I really love the scale on this one.  I also used one of the cute little otters from the new stamp set, Christmas Friends.  I partially die cut the otter for the bottom of the card.

Then I used one of the Stitched Landscape dies to make it seem that he was standing in a snowbank.

For the sentiment, I die cut the word 3 times and then glued them together.  At the end, I covered it in a bit of glossy glue and let it dry.  Just a tip, don't be impatient like me and pick up the die cuts too early!  I should have let my dry a bit more, but I think it still came out okay:)  Here's a close up of the puffy/enameled look of the word die cuts.

Are you all having fun checking out the new release?  Just a reminder that all you have to do is leave a comment on this post to get the chance to win your very own Merry Christmas Script die!  And don't forget to comment on the other 2016 Holiday Release Blog Blitz posts too!  The Blog Blitz will run from July 6th – 18th and that means tons of chances to win.  To be entered into the each of the drawings all you need to leave a comment on EACH of the posts that you wish to enter.  One person will be chosen at random using a random number generator from each of the posts comments.  Only one prize per person per blog blitz.

  13. What a fabulous use of the otter and landscape dies. I thought I’d tried almost every combination of partial cuts, but this one would NEVER have occurred to me. Your highly dimensional “Merry Christmas” has these lovely surface curves that I’ve not achieved before. Maybe its the clear glue, which I will try soon because it’s a sophisticated look. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas JJ.
