Let it Snow!

Thanks for stopping by!  You picked the perfect day for a visit!  We're celebrating the new Poppystamps release by showing projects featuring the dies as well as giving you a chance to win one of them on every post between July 1-15!

Today I'm showing you the new Frozen Flakes border die!  It's a gorgeous mix of different size and shape snowflakes.  I love the inlay technique for die cutting because everything fits together seamlessly like a puzzle.

I cut a piece of white card stock  4.25 x 5.5" (A2) and die cut the border on the long sides of the paper.  I held the die in place for cutting in my die cut machine using repositional tape.   Next I removed the intricate die cut (save the white die cuts for another project – you're going to use some of the negative pieces for this project).  Next I adhered the cut card stock to a white card stock base.  Make sure to apply adhesive under the open die cut area as well.  Next I cut the die in silver foil paper, and inserted it into the sticky open window.  You'll notice I left quite a few of the small silver areas together so I didn't have to fuss with inserting all those really tiny negative white card stock pieces for the entire die cut.

I added a sprinkle of silver pearls and some metallic ribbon to bring it all together.  To make my tag I stamped the sentiment on white card stock, trimmed it down to size and rounded the corners.  A hole punch and a little bit of twine and you have a tag!

I hope you like it and will give it a try some time.   The intricate cut die and silver foil make this look expensive and rich – but it was really easy.

I hope you'll leave me a comment – the die we're giving away today is the Frozen Flakes border.  You have until Midnight US EST on July 18 to leave a comment.  Winners will be posted on July 20.

Have a great day!
