Welcome Baby Penguin! | by Rachel Duong

Hi everyone! It’s Rachel here sharing a penguin card to celebrate a baby boy on his way! The Poppystamps Jubilee Penguin is driving a load of presents and balloons to the baby shower. What a fantastic day is ahead!

I chose colors that I knew were going to be used for the shower. I die cut unlimited Festive Balloons and Frilly Gifts in pearlized, glitter and mirrored specialty papers. The paper packs are listed below in the supplies list.

Next I used pearlized teal for the body of the Poppystamps Joyride Car. Pearlized silver for the chrome and glitter platinum for the headlights. Now for the fun part– I cut out the windshield out of clear acetate!

I diecut the Diamond Oval Pinpoint Background die on heavy white cardstock. I adhered it to a white cardbase.

I used thin gold thread for the tails and affixed them to the balloons with glue dots. The thread looked perfect on the card.

Then I die cut the Jubilee Penquin in Black Glossy Paper and white cardstock. I colored in the beak and eyes with orange and black permanent markers.

Finally I glued it all down when I thought it was just right! If you look closely you can see I used foam and glue dots for dimension. I tucked the penquin in the car and the card is finished!

Hope you enjoyed the ride! I love this baby card and it’s a sweet way to welcome the little one on the way. Until next time, keep up the crafting and the fun that goes with it. Check out the Poppystamps Penguin release, it is a cool one!
