Party Penguin | By Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be back up on the blog today sharing this fun card featuring goodies from the new Penguin Party release. I just love this release. Penguins, presents, and balloons…oh my! And just look at this adorable car.

I started my card with a light blue A2 card base and a white panel that I cut using the largest die in the Scalloped Pinpoint Frames set. Next, I worked on assembling the new Joyride Car. I cut the main body and the pieces that create the side mirrors and tires from a pink cardstock. Instead of cutting the tire pieces again from black cardstock, I just colored the pink pieces with a black marker. I cut the grill and front trim from two shades of gray cardstock. I put an even darker shade of gray behind the grill. I cut the lights from Golden Wheat cardstock. And finally, I cut the windshield from vellum. I assembled everything with liquid glue.

Now that the car was done, I needed a driver! I chose the Fancy Party Penguin for this card, but there are two other adorable penguins in this release. I cut the two main pieces from white and black cardstock, and instead of cutting more pieces, I took the white eyes and beak that popped out of that front piece and colored them with markers. I gave him a hat made from Pool Party cardstock and then I cut a bunch of presents with the new Frilly Gifts die set.

I popped the car up on foam tape, leaving space at the top to tuck the presents and penguin in. I then layered in the presents and added the penguin, all with liquid glue. For my sentiment, I used a stamp from the Birthday Banners set. I love how this card turned out, and I hope it brings a smile to your face today. Thanks so much for joining us on the blog.
