An Autumn Nordic Pretty Petal Flower
by Jennifer Harte

Hello Friends! As you may recall from my last card, I love everything about Autumn. So today, I’m sharing a simple, but beautiful fall-themed card using the Nordic Pretty Petal Flower in warm autumn colors.

For my background I chose the Poppystamps Woodgrain Kraft Paper—it provided just enough texture and let the Nordic Pretty Petal Flower shine. I used some brown ink to add a subtle border. There are six petals and a solid backing piece to arrange the petals. There are several options for the center. It’s really easy to assemble. I chose papers from the Memory Box Sunrise and the Rainbow Reflections Mirror 6×6 paper pads. After die cutting the flower petals, I added some shading with Distress Oxide inks.

I initially planned on a simple card with one flower—you know how that goes! I die cut a second one and paired it with a foil backing piece. The foil doesn’t photograph as well as I’d like, but it shimmers in person. I used a foam adhesive square to attach the second flower on top of the first for a bit of dimension. I used one of the floral center pieces included in the set and added a tiny heart as a personal touch.

To tie everything together, I die cut the Happy Fall sentiment and shadow using leftover scrap paper from the flower petals. I used two layers of cardstock for the shadow to add some depth.

I hope my card inspires you to think outside of the box—the Nordic Pretty Petal Flower is not only for Spring or Summer. Don’t forget to share some handmade happiness of your own!
