Birthday Wishes
By Lisa Elton

Hello, Lisa here today with a sweet and simple summer card for you. Lots of white with a little pop of color! The Nordic Bold Bird is the star of the show with one of my favorites, the Dandelion Stem, as the supporting cast.

I started with a white card base and two of the dandelion die cuts. The dandelions were cut from a different shade of white. It’s a little more marshmallow and the base is a true white.

The sweet bird was nestled among the blooms. I just love the way he pops on all of that white!

I used shades of orange cardstock from the Sunny Orange 6×6 pad along with some of our Black Glossy Paper to put him together. Just a little Copic shading was added using dots. Isn’t he a handsome fella!

The same Black Glossy Paper was used on the Birthday Wishes Moonlight Script sentiment. The font on this is just beautiful and it cuts in one piece making for easy placement. This card would have been good to go right here, but I wanted one more finishing touch…

I rounded the two top corners with a punch to echo the bird’s round head and tail feathers. It adds just the right amount of some-something, don’t you think?

I hope you like my clean and simple summer card. Pop over to the shop to check out these products and more!

I love that cute little birdie that definitely POPS off all the white (I thought your dandelions were snowflakes at first and didn’t quite get the birthday connection instead of Christmas…some mornings I’m just a little slow! Hahaha!!)! Love the die cut sentiment too! Hugs. :0)
