Birthday Layers

Hello sweet Poppy peeps! Lisa here today bringing you an idea for a fun layered birthday card. To me, you can still use layers to created a CAS design. Lets break down how this went together.

Using a white card base as my first layer, I then die cut the pretty Nordic Lacy Plate cover die using the same white cardstock.

The Scallop Pinpoint Rings provided the next lovely layer. I used some patterned paper from our parent company; Memory Box.

Using that same die set, I covered just the center circle portion with yet another layer. This time it was vellum. It lets just enough of the pattern and color show through without distracting from the focal point.

See what I mean? The cute little Lily Pad Frog set was cut with various shades of green. The softer color behind her let her pop… or should I say hop! She has Wink of Stella on her tummy! I Copic colored her eyes black before popping the clear Fairy Drops on them. A few more Fairy Drops were added along with some pond lilies I created from bits of leftover flowers.![]()
So what do you think? Over five layers, but still clean and simple! Remember you can find all of the products I used in the shop. Thanks for stopping by today!
