Nordic Frog Mom
by Allison Frazier

Hello, Poppystamps friends! I am excited to be back on the blog today sharing some fun products from the Nordic Spring Release. This card features the Nordic Sitting Frog, along with a couple of the little Lily Pad Frogs. I thought it would be cute to make a Mother’s Day card with these cuties!

I started my card with some of the pretty paper from the Glimmering Gladiola paper pad. I glued this paper to an A2 card base. I cut a smaller panel of white card stock using a stitched rectangle die from my stash. At the top of this panel, I stamped my sentiment. I could not find a “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment in my stash, but I think this worked out pretty well. After finishing up the sentiment, I glued the white panel to my card base.

I chose a couple of green shades of card stock for the frogs. I made the mommy frog darker so that she would stand out a bit more. I did use the same pale yellow for all of the frog’s other features. I chose a couple shades of pink for the sweater. I assembled all of the frogs with liquid glue. I thought it would be cute to add in the adorable Dainty Mushrooms. I chose some complementary shades for the mushroom caps. I used the cream woodgrain paper for the mushroom bases to give them a bit more texture. I also added some distress ink around the edges just to make them stand out a bit more from the white card panel.

I used a foam square behind the mushroom on the far right, as well as behind the frog that is on top of the mushroom. For everything else, I used liquid glue to adhere it to the white panel. I added some white dots to the mushrooms and to the black eyeballs, and that is it for my card! I hope it brings a smile to your face today. Thanks so much for joining us.
