Hugs
by Lisa Elton

I found an interesting little scrap of paper in my stash that was a little bit waxy. Perfect to wrap up a bouquet of fresh flowers! Next came the fun of adding the flower and greenery to the wrap. I cut a few sprigs from glitter paper for a touch of sparkle.

Our wonderful Heartfelt Pinpoint Frame was the perfect background for my bouquet. I used that same glitter paper I mentioned then backed it with red cardstock from our Blush Core 6×6 paper pad.

Before adding the flowers to the card, I wanted to tie them up. The Little Bow and String die set had just what I needed. The smaller of the two dies has the string. I wrapped it around the back of the bouquet to the front then added the larger portion of the bow. A tiny Fairy Jewel hides the seam.

I chose our Hugs Moonlight Script die as my sentiment and backed it with a vellum shadow. Now that I think of it, this card would work well for more than just a Valentine. I can see using this for an anniversary, birthday, get well, thinking of you… so many options!

So beautiful, Lisa!! Love your gorgeous sparkly background with the red hearts. And your bouquet is adorable … love your pretty flowers with a bit of sparkle. Great design and perfect for your hubby to give to you! 🙂
I fell in love with the background on the sneak peek but then I saw the bouquet wrap and I was blown away. This is such a beautiful card, Lisa!
Wonderful card, Lisa! Love your bundle of flowers layered on the sweet hearts background.
So now I need all these products! Absolutely love your card, Lisa! My hubby did find one of my cards in the back room where I store them and used it for my BD card a few years ago. He also had me make a BD card for a co-worker many years ago. He picked out the stamps and colors. He told me her BD was the next day, same as mine. The next morning before we went to work, I opened the card he had on the counter for me. I couldn’t stop laughing–it was THE card!
Gosh, this is so pretty, Lisa! That paper wrap could come in handy for many dies, and I’ve had my eye on that string and bow. It’s nice your hubby approved of this one. Maybe you’ll get it back on V-Day. The ultimate compliment!
Love this sweet bouquet wrapped in brown paper, Lisa! And that background is GORGEOUS!!
