Sending Love

Hello! Tricia here with you today to share this card I made with the Nordic Joyful Elf all dressed up for Valentine’s Day! I created this scene using the elf along with the Forest Stump and the Mini Forest Plants dies. I die cut each of the dies from white cardstock and colored with alcohol markers. I added details to the mushrooms with a white gel pen.
I love to use the detailed background dies with a layer of vellum. For this card, I used the Nordic Fancy Background die and die cut from white cardstock and adhered the die cut to the card panel. I then created a hinged layer with some vellum cardstock that was trimmed 1/2 inch longer and adhered to the back of the card panel. You can either add adhesive under your die cuts to adhere the vellum layer to the card base or leave it loose. I love the soft details that it adds to the background.
To finish off the card, I die cut a heart using the Scallop Pinpoint Hearts die and added a sentiment strip using the Sentimental Banners stamp and die set. I tied some red and white twine to the top and added a few Fairy Drops for a little sparkle! Hope you have a wonderful day!
