Thankful For You

As much as I hate to see summer coming to an end, I think September is a beautiful month and I do love the fall season. I love making fall cards too! To celebrate that, I decided to create a playful card featuring our Dancing Gnome in a fall setting.
First up was his outfit. I dressed him up in warm golden and brown tones. These little fellas are a snap to dress using some of those many scraps of cardstock we all have! His beard was cut from white with touches of gray added for shading. Copic Markers were used for his face and I gave him pretty green eyes.
He’s dancing about in the autumn leaves in his corduroy britches! I cut several leaves and little acorns using plaid papers from the Memory Box Gladiola Plaid paper pad.
The hill he’s on was made using a die from the Lavish Border set. One of our Sentimental Banners was the perfect fit. A wash of light blue inking was added to the card base before creating my scene.
And there you have it, friends. A playful card to let someone know that I’m thankful for them. By the way, I’m thankful for you too! Happy Autumn!
