Challenge Reminder: It’s Cake Time
by Rachel Duong

Hi Crafty Friends! It’s Rachel here to remind you about our Poppystamps monthly card challenge. The theme is “Take The Cake”. Create a project (it doesn’t need to be a card) in theme and use at least one Poppystamps item. Link it up and that’s it!

The Poppystamps “Corner Shoppe Birthday Celebrations” die set is absolutely awesome, timeless and can be used over and over. The sentiments are just perfect and have wavy and straight words and coordinating dies! The Memory Box paper pack “Glimmering Gladiola” gorgeous and beautiful have shades of red, orange, yellow and purple on both sides.

To create this card I chose a patterned paper and adhered it to a white card base. Next I cut a square piece of watercolor paper and washed a loose background of blue. I die cut the pieces from the Poppystamps “Corner Shoppe Birthday Celebrations” set. Using similar colors from the patterned paper, I painted the pieces. I stamped the sentiment from the Poppystamps Birthday Banners” clear set on watercolor paper for consistency. I die cut it out. 2

I adhered the composition down and added a fine border using the same watercolor paper. I glued the second set of ice cream cones under the first one for extra dimension. Finally, I adhered it to the patterned background and that’s it!

That’s it for now! I hope you are inspired and plan to join the challenge. You have all month to get crafty. Have a wonderful day and keep on crafting!
