Card 1: “Gilded Opulence”

Die-cutting the Butterfly

Let’s begin by die-cutting three shades of yellow cardstock using the Nordic Spectacular Butterfly die set. Alternate the colors for each layer of the butterfly when you assemble to create the bright eye catching butterfly.

Foil Background

Utilize the Deco Diamond hot foil plate to add a touch of opulence to a white cardstock panel. Foil the intricate pattern with gold hot foil, creating a luxurious backdrop for the butterfly.

Assembling the Card

Adhere the foiled background onto an A2 card front using liquid glue then position the butterfly elegantly in the top center. I used one layer of foam tape for the bottom wings but doubled it for the upper two wings.

Sentiments and Detail

Complete the design by adding the sentiment luscious “Hugs” beneath the butterfly, die-cut from two shades of yellow cardstock. Then enhance the card’s allure by adding yellow pearls of varying sizes, scattering them delicately across the design for a final touch of refinement.

Card 2: “Radiant Kindness”

Foil Background

Create a dazzling background using the Leaf and Tendril hot foil plate on white cardstock. Foil the intricate design with gold foil, infusing the card with radiant warmth and elegance.

Butterfly Elegance

Center the Nordic Spectacular Butterfly atop the foiled background, allowing its beauty to shine amidst the golden accents.

Sentiment and Shine

Foil the sentiment “You Are So Kind” onto black cardstock using the Modest Greetings 2 set. Cut the sentiment into a strip and place it gracefully atop the butterfly, completing the card with a message of warmth and gratitude.

Final Flourish

Add a scattering of yellow pearls to the design, enhancing its radiance and adding a touch of whimsy to the overall composition.

Card 3: “Whimsical Charm”

Embossed Background

Create a whimsical backdrop using the Perfect Poinsettias 3D Embossing Folder on white cardstock. Emboss the delicate pattern to add texture and charm to the card’s design.

Butterfly Focal Point

Position the final Nordic Spectacular Butterfly in the center of the embossed background, allowing its vibrant hues to pop against the intricate texture. 

 

Sentimental Note

Foil the sentiment “Just a Note” from the Modest Greetings 2 set onto a strip of cardstock. Place it gracefully over the butterfly, adding a heartfelt message to the card’s recipient.

Finishing Touch

Complete the card’s whimsical charm by adorning it with yellow pearls, adding a playful yet elegant flourish to the design.
